FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything worth knowing before you book.
How much does an air taxi from Asunción cost?
From USD 1,049 in a Cessna 172 to Concepción, and USD 2,449 in a Baron 58 on that same route. The most expensive destination is Mariscal Estigarribia at USD 2,249 in the Cessna and USD 5,199 in the Baron. The price is for the whole aircraft, not per passenger, and includes the same-day return.
Is the price per person or per aircraft?
Per aircraft. A Cessna 172 to Ciudad del Este is USD 1,099 whether one person flies or three. That is what makes an air taxi competitive for groups: split between three passengers, that route works out at about USD 366 each.
Is the return flight charged separately?
Not if you return the same day. The price in the table covers the outbound leg or the round trip within the same day. If you stay overnight, the crew overnight is added at USD 220 per day.
Which destinations do you fly to?
Eight from Asunción: Concepción, Encarnación, Ciudad del Este, Pilar, Pedro Juan Caballero, Filadelfia, Saltos del Guairá and Mariscal Estigarribia. Other destinations in Paraguay or the region are quoted on request.
What is the difference between the Cessna 172 and the Baron 58?
The Cessna 172 carries up to 3 passengers and is the cheaper option. The Baron 58 is a twin engine, carries up to 5 passengers and flies the same leg in roughly half the time: Ciudad del Este is 1 hour 30 in the Cessna against 50 minutes in the Baron. It costs about double.
How much luggage can I bring?
Ten kilos per person, hand luggage only. Light aircraft have weight and volume limits that are not negotiable for safety reasons. If you need to carry more, tell us in advance so we can assess the route and the aircraft.
How long is the flight?
It depends on the destination and the aircraft. In a Cessna 172 it ranges from 1 hour 10 to Concepción or Pilar up to 2 hours 20 to Saltos del Guairá. In a Baron 58, from 40 minutes to 1 hour 30. Exact times per destination are in the routes table.
How much time does flying actually save?
Time, not money. Ciudad del Este is 327 km and about 5 hours of driving against 1 hour 30 in the air. Mariscal Estigarribia is 530 km and about 8 hours against 2 hours 15. An air taxi costs considerably more than the road transfer; what it buys is the return day.
Where does the flight depart from?
Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU) in Luque, about fifteen kilometres from central Asunción. You arrive at the hangar thirty minutes before: there is no check-in desk and no boarding queue.
What documents do I need?
Photo identification for each passenger, a national ID card or passport. Nothing else is required for flights within Paraguay. If the destination involves crossing a border, there is additional paperwork that we arrange in advance.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The pilot decides on the day. If the flight cannot go ahead we reschedule at no cost or refund what you paid. Low cloud, storms and strong wind are the usual reasons.
How do I book?
With a USD 300 deposit that holds the date and the aircraft. It can be paid by card, bank transfer, digital wallet or crypto. The balance is due before the flight.
How far in advance should I book?
Forty-eight hours is comfortable, because the aircraft, the pilot and the flight plan all have to be coordinated. Shorter notice is sometimes possible depending on availability, so it is always worth asking.
Do you fly same-day returns for meetings?
That is the most common use. You leave Asunción early, get the morning or the day at your destination, and fly back in the afternoon without paying for the return separately. Against the road, that turns a two-day trip into one.
Where Do You Need to Be?
Tell us the route, the date and how many are flying. We confirm the aircraft and a fixed price — usually within the hour.
