How much is a private flight from Asunción to Saltos del Guairá?

USD 1,749 for a Cessna 172 carrying up to three passengers, or USD 4,049 for a Baron 58 carrying up to five. The price is for the whole aircraft, not per passenger, and includes the return leg if you fly back the same day.

How long is the flight from Asunción to Saltos del Guairá?

2 h 20 min in a Cessna 172 and 1 h 15 min in a Baron 58. Add about thirty minutes on the ground before departure — there is no check-in desk and no boarding queue.

Is the price per person or per aircraft?

Per aircraft. The Cessna 172 costs USD 1,749 whether one person flies or three, which works out at USD 583 each with a full cabin.

Is the return flight charged separately?

Not if you return the same day — it is already in the price. If you stay overnight, the crew overnight is added at USD 220 per day.

No direct paved route — the road journey is long and awkward

What is the difference between the Cessna 172 and the Baron 58?

The Cessna 172 carries up to 3 passengers and is the cheaper option at USD 1,749. The Baron 58 is a twin engine, carries up to 5 and flies the same leg in 1 h 15 min instead of 2 h 20 min, at USD 4,049.

Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU) in Luque, about fifteen kilometres from central Asunción. You arrive at the hangar thirty minutes before departure.

What documents do I need?

Photo identification for each passenger — a national ID card or passport. Nothing else is required for domestic flights within Paraguay.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The pilot decides on the day. If the flight cannot go ahead we reschedule at no cost or refund what you paid. Low cloud, storms and strong wind are the usual reasons.

How do I book?

With a USD 300 deposit that holds the date and the aircraft. It can be paid by card, bank transfer, digital wallet or crypto. The balance is due before the flight.

How far in advance should I book?

Forty-eight hours is comfortable, because the aircraft, the pilot and the flight plan all have to be coordinated. Shorter notice is sometimes possible depending on availability.

Can I fly to Saltos del Guairá and back in the same day?

Yes, and it is the most common way this route is booked. With 2 h 20 min each way in the Cessna, a morning departure leaves the whole working day at the destination and gets you back to Asunción the same evening — at no extra charge.
