How the day goes
The yacht tour, hour by hour
This is the afternoon departure, the one most groups book, because sunset over the river falls close to 6:30 PM. Morning and evening departures run every day too.

The captain and deckhand meet you, show you the yacht and run through the safety briefing and life jackets.

Costanera Norte, Club Sajonia, the Paraguayan Navy, Costanera Sur, the Bay of Asunción and the Héroes del Chaco bridge. It is the one view of Asunción you cannot get from land.

The captain anchors wherever your group chooses, so you can swim off the stern platform, fire up the grill or stay on the terrace. This is the longest part of the tour.

On the return you see the Argentine border at Clorinda and the beaches and islands along that stretch. The sunset closes over the bay at the Yacht y Golf Club.

There are two ways to get on the water in Asunción and they are different products. The catamaran is cheap and short, shared with people you do not know. The yacht is yours for four hours. Here is what changes.

Where it departs from
Where the yacht leaves from in Asunción
Large yachts do not leave from central Asunción, and there is a reason: the bay has silted up and does not have the depth for a boat this size. So you board to the south, at the Yacht y Golf Club in Lambaré or at Náutica Cavel in Itá Enramada.
Both piers are 20 to 30 minutes from the centre, depending on traffic. That distance is exactly why we include the transfers: we take the whole group from the hotel to the pier and bring them back afterwards, in our own vans with our own drivers. Nobody has to drive, find parking or work out how to reach a marina that is not signposted.
We confirm the exact pier by WhatsApp 24 hours before departure, along with the pickup time at your hotel. If your group arrives from another city that same day, we can arrange a private driver in Asunción so the transfer links up with the rest of your day.

The yacht tour works well as the closing act of an event or as an activity for a group already in Asunción for another reason. Because it is private, the group sets the schedule and there is no sharing the deck with strangers. The gas grill, the fridge and the sound system on board mean you can put the celebration together without hiring anything else, and if the group would rather someone else handled it, we quote the asado, the catering or the DJ separately.

Can children come?
Yes. There are child-sized life jackets on board and children count towards the 15 passengers. Tell us how many are coming and their ages when you book.
Does the captain speak English?
The yacht crew works in Spanish. That is why we handle everything with you in your language and the driver who takes you there and back speaks Spanish, English or Portuguese. It is the difference between booking with us and turning up at the pier on your own.
What happens if the river is too low?
If the river level does not allow safe navigation, we reschedule at no cost or refund 100% of what you paid, your choice. The decision is taken 24 hours ahead and we tell you on WhatsApp. You do not lose your deposit.
What if it rains?
The same rule as with the river level. If the forecast shows storms or strong wind we reschedule at no cost or refund everything. Light rain does not cancel the trip, because the yacht has an enclosed air-conditioned saloon and a covered terrace.
How many people fit on the yacht?
Up to 15 passengers. For groups of 20 to 30 we arrange two yachts that sail together and tie up to each other during the anchoring stop, so the group stays together. That is quoted based on the exact number and the date.
How do I book and how do I pay?
A USD 200 deposit holds your date and the balance is paid on the day of the tour. We accept bank transfer, card and Pagopar, so you can pay from abroad before you arrive in Paraguay.
